JAMIE WEI HUANG Autumn/Winter 2017

Jamie Wei Huang’s AW17 BFC Digital Presentation goes back to the designer’s roots, with the show being held at the legendary university “Central Saint Martins”; the institution where Jamie graduated and trained.

AW17 collaborates with Spanish digital artist -Eduardo Dies Poza. Together they have created a pro- jection to be unveiled in the show space involving light, movement and clips of “memories” to pres- ent the concept of Jamie’s collection and start the show.

The Story of 2017 Autumn Winter collection starts in the 80’s, looking back to fun, old, romanticised times of youth. Romantic elements were brought into the collection this season reconstructing Jamie’s signature statement leather pieces and coats.

Bell sleeved tops and ared trousers are incorporated with bold colour palettes continuing on from the ‘Lily’ collection. AW17 nds metallic block colours applied to tailored and classic pieces combined with Jamie Wei Huang’s unique motif of metal trimmings creating a contrast between luxury and contemporary. The collection plays with traditional classic fabrication and ne details that play a key part in the brands signature.

This season’s show also welcomes one of the biggest Korean Music Producer’s Jae Chong directing the show music. He is the rst Korean American to be nominated for ‘best producer of the year’ at the golden melody awards. Jamie Wei Huang AW17 is in collaboration with “BAO,” - “The best Taiwanese restaurant to try out in London” - Times News Paper - who will bring old Taiwanese culture and Street food into London fashion week challenging the traditional and presenting in a fresh and creative way.
