Fashion Editor Intern

 

This is an ideal position for a graduate or part-time student, with some editorial experience to develop their writing skills. The candidate would gain experience of working in a fast-paced, creative environment and an insight into the production process of a successful magazine. The placement would involve working on both the print and online magazines, and the intern would report to the Fashion & Features Editor and the Online Editor. 

 

Our internships are an opportunity to gain valuable editorial experience and further develop a professional portfolio.

 

TASKS 
· Researching content for both the print and online magazines
· Updating the website with new content
· Using Twitter and Facebook to promote posts
· Researching new content for the site
· Editing work when necessary
· Proofreading
· Liaising with Fashion Editors 

· Writing short online articles (potentially involving interviews)
· Writing longer features for the print magazine depending on competency of intern 

· Attending fashion shows and similar events to do the report (Occasionally) 

 

REQUIREMENTS 
· An interest in fashion, art, culture, travel
· Fluency in both written and verbal English, high literacy and an excellent grasp of grammar
· An interest and involvement in social media is an advantage
· Would suit students/graduates of journalism (fashion/lifestyle/arts)
